The SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS weekly column is a place at Shannon Muir’s author website open to interviews and guest posts from other authors. One thing Shannon firmly believes in for readers not only to learn about new books available, but about those who craft the tales behind them. As its name implies, SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS weekly column features writers from all genres of fiction who want their potential audience to get to know them, and their works, better – and occasionally may offer features from Shannon herself that support readers to discover words. This week, Shannon talks about reaching the end of SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS fifth anniversary year, and hopes for beyond.
This fifth year of SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS definitely proved more turbulent than expected. Switching mid-year from a stand-alone site wasn’t something I’d envisioned on a such a crucial anniversary milestone, but I think in the long run it made the most sense.
If you want more anecdotes about my lessons learned from my last five years of book blogging, plus some of my short fiction, the e-book INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS: REFLECTIONS ON FIVE YEARS OF BOOK BLOGGING is available now. Normally 99 cents USD, the book will be available from Smashwords today through the month of April for FREE with the coupon SH48W. Please note that although it came out earlier in March 2018, the metadata for many sites will show July 2017 as it was originally going to come out during the anniversary year and was on pre-order but due to the shift to my author site I had to shelve it for a while (unaware that the metadata wouldn’t update; a lesson learned).

Thank you for all the support these past five years, and I’m planning on much more to come.
