INSIDE THE PAGES – Family Bonds

The SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS column on Mondays and Wednesdays is a place at Shannon Muir’s author website showcasing books from a variety of fiction genres, with an emphasis on interviews and guest posts from other authors. One thing Shannon firmly believes in for readers not only to learn about new books available, but about those who craft the tales behind them. As its name implies, SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS weekly column features writers from all genres of fiction who want their potential audience to get to know them, and their works, better.

INSIDE THE PAGES is the banner for posts that announce changes in the blog format or the brand, or latest news about Shannon Muir herself, versus commentary and observation posts by administrator and author Shannon Muir. This regards Shannon Muir’s own experiences with a new normal as the world grapples with a major health threat. INSIDE THE PAGES will now appear every Thursday going forward.

This past week, I should have been up seeing my sister for her birthday. Because she’d been so busy, it would have given us time to reconnect for the first time since Mom passed away.

Then all this happened.

Now no one is going anywhere, especially given that she’s in Western Washington and I’m in Southern California.

I know things aren’t all about me, but that’s part of what makes this “new normal” so challenging. And I am confident – though wish I wasn’t – that things will continue to change.

However, using Zoom, we did all meet virtually for her birthday. While not exactly the same, it was nice to be in touch.
