INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS BETWEEN THE PAGES – Seeking out Holiday Reads

SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS BETWEEN THE PAGES column is a place for administrator Shannon Muir to share whatever topic may be on her mind for the month. This column is in a special slot this month but will also be the last one this year. Rejoin SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS BETWEEN THE PAGES in 2020 the fourth Tuesday of each month at its regular appearance.

I’m personally not usually one to seek out holiday themed reads. It’s about a good story first that happens to be set during the holiday season. However, by no means am I being dismissive of the large amount of books that seem to be marketed just to fit the season. Many of them are probably fine stories.

When it comes to a series of books, some may simply be equivalent to creating that “special holiday episode” for a TV series that gives more longevity to the property but not necessarily substance. That’s always a possibility.

All I do know is that you can’t judge a book by its cover.

Happy holiday reading, whatever you celebrate, and hope to see you back in 2020.
