Some words are chosen after careful, thought-out consideration. Others are chosen in haste.  Whatever words ultimately are selected, they build an image not only of the concepts they express, but sometimes the person sharing them. This can be in situations where even if the word is appropriate to use the specific connotation of the word may cause people to assume additional information that might not be accurate.

That is why the old adage “think before you act” carries so much weight.
