The SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS weekly column is a place at Shannon Muir’s author website open to interviews and guest posts from other authors. One thing Shannon firmly believes in for readers not only to learn about new books available, but about those who craft the tales behind them. As its name implies, SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS weekly column features writers from all genres of fiction who want their potential audience to get to know them, and their works, better – and occasionally may offer features from Shannon herself that support readers to discover words.
DISCOVER WORDS… REFLECTIONS is usually a monthly blog series, the first week of every month, that focuses on readers and the discovery of words. As part of the anniversary celebration for SHANNON MUIR’S INFINITE HOUSE OF BOOKS, DISCOVER WORDS… REFLECTIONS posts will appear every Wednesday for the month of April. All blog posts written by Shannon Muir.
Given the focus of this column is on readers and the discovery of words, I’d like to spend this moment to mention the passing of a large proponent of this philosophy.
Former First Lady Barbara Bush passed away last night (April 17, 2018). One of the things she used her influence for in her lifetime was as a strong proponent for literacy. She saw it as the key for people to improve their lives in so many different ways.
Today, this column stops and takes a moment to thank the late former First Late Barbara Bush for her efforts in literacy.
Until next week!
